In order for you to be able to use our services, you will first need to provide us with different information. We gather this information for both your and our safety and would aim to activate accounts within 24 hours.
This guide is aimed to help you go through the activation process.
What information do you need to provide us?
- Personal details
- Identification document
- Proof of residence/address
When you create your account, the app will present you the relevant fields that require your personal information as described above.
Uploading your identification document
We accept different identification documents at Crypto2Cash. They will take the form of a photo of the document. Please note that we do not accept scans of photos, only actual photos of documents. Exactly which identification document is relevant to you will depend upon your country of residence, You will be presented with a choice of the following :
- ID Card
- Driving Licence
Please make sure of the following when you take photos of your ID document:
- The ID document is current
- The ID document has an expiry date
- All four outer corners of the document are visible on the picture
- We do not accept scans of photos, only actual photos of documents
You will also need to take a tilted photo of your ID, which means you will have to tilt the document to a +/- 45-degree angle. This might seem unusual, but it is to enable us to see specific security features on your ID document such as holograms and watermarks.
Taking your selfie
When you take your selfie, please make sure that:
- Your whole face is in the picture
- You take the picture yourself. We cannot accept pictures taken by a third person.
Uploading your proof of residence/address
We accept different proofs of residence/address at Crypto2Cash:
- Utility- or phone bill
- Bank statement
- Voter registry
- Tax invoice
- Certificate of Residence
- Permit of Residency
- Official government/municipality letter or document in your name.
When you take a picture of your proof of residence/address, please ensure that:
- Your name and address are visible
- The issue date of the letter/document is clearly visible and was issued within the last 3 months
- The document is fully visible, with all four outside corners inside the picture
We also accept a PDF or a digital screenshot of your proof of residence/address.
Once all the required information has been received, it should not take more than 24 hours to activate your account.
